A consumer electronics and home appliances firm, Hisense, has expressed its commitment to introducing innovative, cutting-edge and state-of-the-art products to meet the dynamic trends in the industry.
Consequently, the firm has opened its flagship store in Abuja, which is the first in West Africa. Speaking at the commissioning of the store, located in Zone 5, Wuse, Abuja, in partnership with its strategic partner and official distributor in Nigeria, Fouani Nigeria Limited, the Abuja Branch Manager for Hisense, Mostapha Khrains, said that the IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) industry is undergoing transformative changes, driven by shifting client expectations, technologically.
He added that the main goal of the company is to bring the latest Hisense technology to communities and provide them with the best services. Khrains observed that the launch highlighted Hisense’s commitment to enhancing its presence in Nigeria, an important market in West Africa, and delivering advanced, consumer-centric services to Nigerians.
He said that Hisense has lots of (electronics) technology varieties such as television, washing machines, microwaves, and fridges and is ahead of other companies.
Khrains noted that “we are proud to say that Hisense is the most affordable brand in Nigeria today and we offer the best service when it comes to service and price, we are number one.”
Khrains noted that the company already has manufacturing operations in Nigeria and has two plants in Lagos. “All the products you see today are manufactured locally in Nigeria. They are designed and assembled here.”
However, he said multiple taxation is a major challenge the firm is facing in Nigeria as well as the high exchange rate which has affected the price of the products, weakened the purchasing power of consumers and caused sales to drop by over 20 per cent.
